benifts of salmon
I don’t know about you, but salmon is always my go to when ordering fish. Salmon is super fatty (the good fat your body needs) which packs in so much flavor and makes the fish extremely tender. This delicious fish is loaded with Omega-3 fatty acids, a necessary nutrient for overall health. Salmon provides a hearty source of protein, and it tastes amazing.

If you are new to cooking fish, do not fear. Baking salmon in the oven could not be easier, once the honey Dijon salmon is in the oven you can just walk away and come back in 15 minutes to perfectly cooked fish. Salmon is extremely easy to find, you can use frozen salmon or fresh, whichever you prefer. Sometimes I will buy lots of salmon and pop it into the freezer until the day I want to cook it. You can put your frozen salmon in the refrigerator the night before or run the frozen, sealed fish under cold water here is a link for instructions https://food52.com/blog/14105-how-to-defrost-your-fish-faster-and-things-to-do-while-you-wait

notes for success
Both skinless and skin on salmon will work well for this dish. I recommend using parchment or aluminum foil to line the baking sheet, to prevent sticking and making clean up easier. You can cook your salmon less than 15 minutes for medium salmon or cook your salmon longer than 15 minutes for very well-done salmon. If you do not like dill or have any on hand, feel free to substitute any dried or fresh herb you prefer.
storage and reheating
You can store your Honey Dijon Salmon in a sealed airtight container, in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat your salmon, simply place it into a 350-degree oven or toaster oven and reheat for 5 minutes or until warmed through.
