Ingredients Needed to Make Beef Bolognese Gnocchi Bake
- 1 lb of ground beef
- 1 pound of pork sausage
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 Celery stalks, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of red wine
- 2 cups of beef or chicken broth
- 1 28-oz can of crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp of chopped fresh or dried rosemary
- 1 tsp of Fresh or Dried Thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 17-oz package of potato gnocchi
- 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

Beef Bolognese Gnocchi Bake
Ingredients
- 1 lb of ground beef
- 1 pound of pork sausage
- 2 carrots diced
- 2 Celery stalks diced
- 1 onion diced
- 4 Cloves of Garlic minced
- 1 cup of red wine
- 2 cups of beef or chicken broth
- 1 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp of chopped fresh or dried rosemary
- 1 tsp of Fresh or Dried Thyme
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1 17 oz package of potato gnocchi
- 3/4 cup shredded mozzerella cheese
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and pork sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Remove the browned meat and set aside for later.1 lb of ground beef, 1 pound of pork sausage
- Add the diced onion, carrots, and celery and cook until softened, about five to seven minutes. Add back in the browned meat and stir in the red wine and garlic and let it simmer until reduced by about half.2 carrots, 2 Celery stalks, 1 onion, 4 Cloves of Garlic, 1 cup of red wine
- Add the broth, crushed tomatoes, rosemary, and thyme. Reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer gently for at least thirty minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste.2 cups of beef or chicken broth, 1 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes, 1/2 cup heavy cream, 1 tsp of chopped fresh or dried rosemary, 1 tsp of Fresh or Dried Thyme, Salt and Pepper to taste
- Cook for another 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Add the dried gnocchi directly to the bolognese sauce and stir to combine. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the mozzarella and parmesan evenly over the top.1 17 oz package of potato gnocchi, 3/4 cup shredded mozzerella cheese, 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- Bake uncovered for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden and the gnocchi is tender. Let the bake rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
