My prosciutto cheddar and fig toast is the perfect combination of sweet from the honey and figs and savory from the cheddar and prosciutto. The dish is the perfect appetizer for entertaining and with only a few ingredients and steps.

Ingredients
4 Slices of bread (your choice)
4 ozshredded white cheddar cheese
3-4Fresh mission figs
6Slices of prosciutto
1tbspHoney
Instructions
Add 1 oz of shredded cheddar to each slice of bread and broil in the oven or toaster oven for 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Remove the toast from the oven and top with fresh sliced or quartered mission figs, a slice and a half of prosciutto, and a drizzle of honey.
Cut your toasts in half to make them easier to share and enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to use any cheese you have on hand, I used a mild white cheddar because it is not too overpowering and mellow. This is a wonderful dish for entertaining because it comes together quickly and only requires a few ingredients.
