Honey Dijon Salmon

honey Dijon salmon

Honey Dijon Salmon is a simple and flavorful dinner that deserves a spot in your weekly meal rotation. The combination of sweet honey and tangy Dijon mustard creates a glossy glaze that keeps the salmon tender and moist while adding bold flavor. This recipe comes together quickly with minimal prep, making it ideal for busy nights when you still want something wholesome and satisfying.

Honey Dijon Salmon

This salmon recipe is all about balance. The richness of the salmon pairs beautifully with the bright acidity of lemon juice and the subtle heat from red pepper flakes. Fresh or dried dill adds a herby finish that complements the sweet and savory glaze. Baked until flaky and just cooked through, this Honey Dijon Salmon feels special enough for guests but easy enough for an everyday dinner. Salmon is super fatty (the good fat your body needs), which packs in so much flavor and makes the fish extremely tender. This delicious fish is loaded with Omega-3 fatty acids, a necessary nutrient for overall health. Salmon provides a hearty source of protein, and it tastes amazing.

Notes for success~

✔️ Use salmon filets that are similar in size so they cook evenly.

✔️ Fresh lemon juice gives the best flavor, but bottled can work in a pinch.
✔️ Adjust the honey or Dijon to taste if you prefer it sweeter or more tangy.
✔️ Let the salmon rest briefly after baking to allow the juices to settle.

🍽️ How to Serve Honey Dijon Salmon

  • Serve this dish as a main course with a crisp Kale salad or a refreshing Spinach Salad to balance the richness and round out the plate.
  • Pair it with simple sides like Mashed Potatoes, Miso Green Beans, or Buttery Miso Fried Rice for an easy and comforting dinner.

  • 2 tsp dill, fresh or dried
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Using a kitchen brush or the back of a spoon, slather each piece of salmon with marinade. Season each filet with salt and cracked pepper. Let salmon sit at room temperature until your oven preheats
  • Cook salmon for 15 minutes or until desired doneness. Pull salmon out of oven and serve immediately.

Notes

The recipe serves 3 people, add additional salmon filets to make more servings. If your salmon is extra thick or larger than 6oz cook the salmon for 20 minutes to ensure doneness. Some salmon filets will not have skin, some will, if your salmon has skin make sure to take the skin off before serving.
