Easy Beef and Broccoli with Ground Beef

Easy Beef and Broccoli with Ground Beef is the ultimate quick dinner when you want something hearty, flavorful, and satisfying without the fuss. This recipe transforms basic ground beef into a saucy, takeout-style dish that is both comforting and fast to make. The sauce is a perfect blend of savory soy, rich sesame oil, and just a touch of sweetness from brown sugar, with a little kick of spice from sriracha.

Easy Beef and Broccoli with Ground Beef

Unlike traditional beef and broccoli, which requires marinating and slicing steak, this version uses ground beef for simplicity and speed. The broccoli cooks in the same pan, soaking up all the rich flavors from the sauce and beef. In less than 30 minutes, you can have a complete meal that tastes like your favorite takeout but is made entirely at home.

Ingredients Needed to Make Easy Beef and Broccoli with Ground Beef~

  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 white onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated or minced ginger
  • 2 1/2 cups broccoli florets
  • Sliced scallions and sesame seeds for serving

Notes for Success~

✔️ Use fresh or frozen broccoli: Both work perfectly. If using frozen, no need to thaw first; just cook it for a few extra minutes.
✔️ Adjust spice level: Add more or less sriracha depending on your heat preference.
✔️ Don’t overcook the broccoli: You want it to stay bright green and crisp-tender for the best texture.
✔️ Double the sauce: If you love extra saucy rice bowls, make a little more sauce to drizzle over the top.

🍽️ How to Serve~

  • Over Rice: Serve with fluffy jasmine rice or Miso Fried Rice to soak up the savory sauce.
  • With Noodles: Serve with Pad Thai Noodles or Spicy Lo Mein noodles for a hearty, satisfying dinner.
  • Low-Carb Option: Enjoy with Cauliflower rice or over Miso Brussels and Quinoa for a lighter meal.
  • Meal Prep Favorite: Divide into containers with rice or noodles for easy grab-and-go lunches all week.
